Man, I would love to host you and Cory Doctorow in a discussion on this. Is he really misfiring this time in poohpoohing almost all of this as hype/marketing?

I'd be up for that conversation! I do think there's a lot of denial going on on the left--and I think that will work to the detriment of the left.

I’ve had them on Sustain What a couple times and will see if he’s up for it! https://revkin.substack.com/p/cory-doctorow-explains-how-to-disenshitify?utm_source=publication-search PS I don’t think I have your current email. Can you email me at revkin@substack.com?

You should read Ethan Mollick on the subject. It's not the singularity at this point, but your reaction of "incredibly wrong" is not persuasive. https://substack.com/inbox/post/218255099

Please see the comment by my colleague Aliaksei Tsitovich on your article that I mentioned on LinkedIn He sees technical solutions as more effective than vague international governance @Robert Wrighthttps://lnkd.in/p/eKUmC5Yj

More likely AI will be remembered for sucking up the last remaining easily accessible oil and copper, and hasting the transition to a low-energy localized degrowth future. No singularly incoming, but equally seismic changes are afoot for homo sapien.

Why no singularity?
